Picking up on my Newcastle save after a few months off. Team is great and I've been buying young talent plus have had a couple great youngsters come through my team especially for AMC. Problem being my depth at AMC. Its quite insane. I bought Van Der Beek (spelling?) and then in the next transfer window Olmo was looking for a move and by selling off Almiron I had the funds to persue it. Then that intake day I regen an absolute worldy looking player for the posistion. All good until next year when I generate two more AMC's with great potential. Last offseason I buy a cheapish wonderkid from a Skybet League 2 team - because I'm greedy and have a ton of budget I'm not spending otherwise.
Olmo: 4 star CA/PA
Van DerBeek: 4 star CA/PA
Kristiensen: 2.5 star CA/5 star PA
Ly: 2 star CA/4.5 star PA
Wilhite: 2 star CA/ 4 star PA
Hamiltin: 1.5 star CA/4.5 star PA
In addition I have players from multiple other posistions who can cover AMC should injuries become a problem. Depth is not a problem for me in my attacking posistions. I am playing a 4-2-3-1. I only want to keep 1 of the 4 on roster for the season to play in the under-23's and possibly grab a couple cup game experiences. I've got Kristiensen out on loan to Hertha Berlin who have great training and youth facilities and is listed as an important player by loan. He's started every friendly so far plus a cup and bundesliga game with good ratings so I feel this was a good move. I can't get Hamilton, Ly, or Wilhite to accept a loan move. I've put them on my development list and teams have expressed interest from all sorts of leagues. The feedback is that neither is interested in any of the moves. The choices range from the Championship, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Eredivise. I have it set for minimum Regular starter. I would prefer to keep Hamilton if I can as he is still 18 and I would like to make him homegrown if I could. It's not a dealbreaker however and I'd move him if I could. How do I get these shitters to accept loans moves? It's for their own good to get playing time! I am a back to back Champions League winning club with the best reputation in the world at the moment.
First season with a lower league club - Coventry: Promoted to Championship!
Ok so around a week ago I decided that I wanted to play with a lower league team. I didn't wanted to go that low but I definitely wanted that rush of fighting for promotion and bring a team all the way to champions league glory over the course of many seasons. I've managed multiple teams in FM20 but they've all been at least first division teams. Chelsea 12 seasons. Man Utd 9 Seasons, A. Villa 14 seasons and Dormund 6 seasons. I decided Skybet League One would be a nice challenge for my first lower club and then spent quite a bit. I didn't want to make the challenge too hard on my by picking Bolton (they start with -12 points) but I also didn't want a "wealthy" team like Sunderland where I would just have the ability to buy monster player (for League One level ofc) and absolutely demolish everyone. After a while I decided to settle with Coventry. First because they start with no budget which meant I would have to work with what the team got and the very low payroll available meant that I couldn't get too many loans and not of high quality. The second reason is because on my A.Villa save Callum O'Hare ended up becoming one of my best players and ended up retiring as my team captain at 37 and he's on loan at Coventry at this first season.
The Formation
I knew I wanted to try something different. I didn't want to go with the classic 4-2-3-1 Gegenpressen. I started looking at my options in the team and realized I had a decent amount of DCs, 2 fantastic wing backs, a decent midfield and one pretty decent striker with a right winger that could also play up front and had ideal stats to be a second support man for my striker. With my sick wing backs, and the lack of a decent left winger (at least if I wanted to make it to playoffs which was my initial goal) I decided I wouldn't play wingers. And after like 4 or 5 league matches I ended up sticking with what would become the definitive formation. A nice 5-2-1-2 which allowed me to have a strong middle with very creative players (cause the 3 DCs fixed a lot of the mistakes and lack of defense they had) and also exploit the wings. Here's my full tactics (I would change some things here and there for some matches but this was what I used the most) and I'll also give some details about each player: https://preview.redd.it/uc7kd5y8iyd61.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=webp&s=a46feec2edc1fbc93a07ae600b1318721a676d22 GK - Marko Marosi: Slovakian GK with a good rating for the first team. The team has another option in Ben Wilson but there's definitely no competition here, Marosi is far superior. At first I wanted to bring a better GK on loan as I didn't fully trust Marosi but he ended up proving me wrong. He ended up being the keeper with most shutouts (19) and only conceded 31 goals. He played all but 2 matches and he's honestly a monster shot stopper with amazing reflexes. WBR - Fankaty Dabo: The Sierra Leone beast! Well kinda. For sure one of our best players with his very high pacing and acceleration paired with very good passing and decent crossing... But holy shit does he have abysmal fitness. Seriously he ended up missing 15 League One matches cause he would end up demolished after every match and sometimes wouldn't get back in time. He was a monster every match but would need to get subbed around the 70th minute consistenly. He ended up being the captain in most matches and gave us a solid 14 assists in 43 matches across all competitions. DCR - Josh Pask: Supposedly our young player with the brightest future. He started the season injured and had a long way to go with being 4 months out. Started with Rose in this position but as the season went on, he was making a lot of mistakes and after a month of so of Pask being back to the team he told me he wanted more play time and ended up making it a lot better than Rose and even scoring some key goals! He's very physically strong and ended up becoming a started very fast after he recovered. DC - Dominic Hyam: Ended up being our best defender and definitely rock solid. I think he's the reason my defense worked so well, having amazing positioning, tackling and marking meant he rarely made mistakes and would often fix some mistakes the other defenders made. He's a slower defender but I always trusted him and it payed off. Rarely goes attacking but his defense is so good you can't ask more honestly. DCL - Kyle McFadzean: One of our experienced players. I had my doubts, he's already 34 yo and I was fearing he would be too slow. I gave him a started spot cause he's basically Hyam but older, pretty similar stats but he's insanely determined and also has a high leadership so I thought he'd be the one to keep our defense in control. He's also physically strong but it's one of those players that only knows how to do one thing. He wasn't spectacular but never dissapointed honestly. WBL - Sam McCallum: One of our loaned players. He was the other fantastic wing back I realized the team has. He's on loan from Norwich and boy am I happy he have him. He's very fast and a monster at tackling. He's also physically gifted and would run up and down the entire match. Surprisingly ended up being out 3rd goalscorer and most of those goals would be headers cause he would usually enter the box unmarked and just net a most good crossings. He ended up being top 5 in the average ratings on the league and I'd say he's like our 3rd-4th best player. 7 assists. MCR - Zain Westbrooke: Is slowly becoming our star. This is the position I had a lot of doubts with. Most other positions I knew the players that would start but this one changed a lot. I started with Liam Kelly, team captain but he's an older defensive midfielder and with already 3 defenders in the back he didn't seem necessary. Then I tried Jordan Shipley. He's defintely good and I'm happy we have him on the team but never ended up being as good as I needed. Then came Westbrooke, he was decent at first but as the season went on started to become better and better. He's definitely the one doing the dirty work in the middle often coming down to support in defense and he was usually the one starting the attack. Insane passing and the definition of consitency. He ended up 4th in the average ratings and also managed to give 7 assists across all competition. He's not as notorious as our other midfielder but he definitely was a key part of out title run. If you want to make a comparison to better understand his role, he's pretty much Makelele for Los Galacticos, he might not be as appreciated as his partners but he's fundamental for the whole team to function. MLC - Liam Walsh: Without a doubt the star of the team... Sadly, he's only a loan. A classic box to box but he's definitely more offensively oriented. He's the creative machine on my team. It's insane how good he is with amazing dribbles and unreal passes, he would eat up entire defenses by himself leaving our strikers wide open to score. I can't tell you how many times he made long range passes that I was just like "How the fuck could he see that and execute it with such precision". He was decent at defense as well. He ended up being the 1st player on the average ratings in League One and gave an insane 22 assists to also be ranked 1st on that regard. He was definitely the most important piece of our title run cause the kid simply drops assists left and right. He's also a fucking machine and would never stop running. Sadly I don't think I can bring him back cause he's too expensive and with Bristol City getting promoted to the Premier League there's no way he can get him on loan again, they're gonna need his insane passes if they plan to fight and not get relegated next season. AMC - Callum O'Hare: My boy. As I said, in my Villa save he ended up being a club legend so I had high hopes with him. He never was amazing tbh but was always fairly consistent. I wanted him to be the star of my team but never trully managed to do so. He definitely got better in the second half of the season and started to give a lot of assists and managed to end with 15 in the league and finally started to meet my expectations around february. I sadly don't think we can get him back on loan next season. STCR - Jordy Hiwula: Monster goalscorer. This dude for sure was the surprise of the season and a very pleasant one. I had him here mosly as supposed for who was supposed to be my main striker. Jordy is a natural right winger with insane pace and acceleration and very good passing so I thought he would be feeding a lot of passes to my striker. He doesn't even have high finishing at all but holy fuck he put the team on his back this season. 36 goals across 49 matches in all competitions, with 28 being in the league which allowed him to finish as the top goalscorer and 3rd in the average ratings. He's a bit irregular cause he can destroy a team in a matter of minutes but some matches he would simply not show up at all. I think a big part of his success was Walsh feeding him with insane long passes and him beating defenders with his absurd pace. He would also miss a lot of 1 on 1 vs the GKs but with the amount of times he got to the box without any pressure he definitely scored often. STCL - Matt Godden: Decent striker but definitely deserved more time. I thought he would be our top goalscorer and he definitely didn't do bad, getting 18 goals in 31 matches across all competitions. At the beginning of the season I got Alejandro Marqués from Zebre and had high hopes on him and gave him a lot more time than Godden. While Maqués wasn't bad, he definitely missed a lot of shots, like he would get stopped by the defense and the keeper very often. I realized Godden was the more solid option in the last like 2-3 months of the season and he scored a decent amount of goals.
I'll start with the bad news first. We got pretty unlucky in both the FA and the Carabao cup, we barely managed to meet the expectations for these competitions cause we got paired against unbeatable opponents. We got knocked on the second round of the Carabao Cup after Chelsea pushed our shit in on a 5 - 0 match, we really had no hopes and went as defensive as we could but yeah, it was a guaranteed loss. Then on the third round of the FA cup we get no other than Man City, I couldn't believe our luck. We actually did amazing on the match, it ended 2-1 in favor of City but we actually pressured the entire game and it ended up being a hearthbreaker as we hit the post 2 times in the 91st and 94th minute, we were actually very close to at least forcing a replay which would have been huge for our ego. Still I'm proud of my team for still playing our game again Man City. We obviously won the league with an amazing 34-4-6 record (I never save scum no matter what). Here's the full league table in case someone is interested: Last team is Southend with 30 points and a 6-12-26 record The odds at the beginning of the season had us finishing 5th which meant we would have to work extra time to even get to play offs. But we started winning a lot, scoring a lot of goals and we never dropped more than 3rd place in the entire season. By February we had a a consistent 8-11 points difference between us and the 2nd-3rd and 4th place (which you can see ended very much with the same points) and while we ended with almost a 20 point diferential we only got our first title fight with 5 matches left, in what was the most aggravating match of my FM career. It was against Burton who finished 20th and it started as expected. We ended with a great 3-0 in the first half. They scored a goal at 63 and I was still calm. Then nothing happened for the rest of the match, I was getting ready to lift the trophy with my boys. The ref gives 4 minutes of injury time, whatever. Their fricking right back with abysmal finishing and long shots scores an absolute screamer in 92, I started to get scared. The match keeps going, 94 minutes have passed and it's literally like the ref is waiting for them to score again to end it and welp they did... On the 96 MINUTE FOR FUCK SAKE. I was so mad that I stopped playing for a couple hours, couldn't believe the bullshit. I knew we would still win the title but that tie was so infuriating, just cause how it happened. The fight for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places actually got very intense at the end as literally all 3 teams crashed terribly in the last 4 matches and didn't even manage to get a win, like none of them lol. The last match Peterborough was at 86 going into the last match, same as MK Dons also with 86 and then Oxford with 85, so yeah, all 3 had the worst end season possible. As of writing this MK Dons and Oxford will play the final and I'm rooting for the Dons, they deserve it, they were 2nd place for most of the season and just had terrible luck in the last month of the league. It also didn't help a lot that they got 17 ties! But they even have less losses than us lol. In the Leasing.com Trophy we actually managed to get our second title of the season but it was honestly always easy af. We got Bristol Rovers in the Southern Section Semis (Regional Final) which we smashed 3-0 and then got Sunderland in the Finals, which was our only close match but even then we managed to get a 1-0 win.
Going Forward
Ok so we are a Championship team now, that feels amazing! But we still don't have any budget to buy players and like a 1M debt so we'll have to keep living off loans from young starts from top teams that need to give them more playtime. My aim for next season is to not get relegated, I'm trying to be realitic and I know the Championship can be vicious. I honestly don't care in what position we finish but I need us to stay in the Championship. I think a realistic plan is for us to stay in the Championship for like 4-5 more years which would help the team with its debt so we can actually start getting a budget and purchease players of our own.
Loan extensions: I actually managed to extend McCallums loan for another season and I couldn't be happier, that's some weight off my shoulders. As I said I think getting Walsh back for another year is impossible, specially cause Bristol is now a Premier League team and Liam is literally better than every other player in his position that they currently own. I also tried to get O'Hare for an extra year but Villa said that they actually wanted to keep him as an squad player and he definitely will gain more importance as the season goes on, both wil. I'm proud of my boys regardless and wish them sucessful careers. I won't try to get Marqués back he simply wasn't good enough.
Purcheasing players?: I actually got an increase on my payroll and with Walsh and O'Hare leaving I managed to get enough money to get a great improvement of a GK in James Talbot which used to play for Bohemians (Irish league) and for how cheap he was, he's already better than Marosi and a good for Championship level. Sadly he'll be the only purchease of the season.
Loans I'm looking for: I currently don't have like an specific player that I want on loan and I'll spend the next few days scouting as much as I can to build a solid team. I do know the positions I want to get players tho. I need a right winger that can help Dabo. I need an starter DC. I need a new Walsh lol, just an star midfielder that takes charge of creativity. I need an starter AM or AP cause I already have a decent academy kid but he isn't ready to be a starter. And finally I need an Striker that can really put pressure on Godden and maybe even do better. I definitely need all these guys if we are to have a chance and not get relegated. I also think a defensive midfielder for the more diicult matches against the top dogs in the championship but we'll see about this one as the transfer window goes on.
And that's it for me guys, I know this was a long post but I was so hyped about my team and I definitely feel like this lower league experience is amazing, I'm glad I finally decided to try it. I'm also open to suggestion for loans you might have that might work on this system I have cause I'm kinda scarred about getting rekt on the Championship lol. Thanks for reading :)
An imperfect science, but SkyBet are now no longer offering odds on the Reguilon transfer after they dropped to 1/20 for him to join spurs. In my experience when they remove a player from the list it's because the deal is done! As of writing, Bale to Spurs is 1/5... 👀 Edit: Just to fuel the hype train a little, some more players with spurs odds. Where I don't state otherwise, spurs are the lowest odds. Keep your pinches of salt very large, but also get very overexcited: Milik 5/1 (1/4 to go to Roma) Eriksen 4/1 Carlos Vinicius 3/1 Ings 8/1 (joint fave with Utd Daka 2/1
How does the english FPP works exactly? What is the difference Brexit made? I'm currently in my 2nd year, managed to win Vanarama League. In the first year I snatched a free player worth 10M at its peak and sold it at the end of the season for 5M plus 2,5M objectives. I wipped out my debt and got a nice financial situation but still I cant spend any of it because of the Skybet 2 FFP. My wages are too high apparently even tho I have more then 3M in the bank and 1M in transfer budget. Why? I need new signings to ensure the mid table spot I promised. What should I do?
Title says it all, but for context, I started a save going into the lower reach of the English league pyramid so I could play as my hometown team, Worksop Town. In the early seasons my financial situation was fairly manageable with there not being much of a gap between where I started (Northern Premier League Premker Division) and about the Vanorama North league. Now I'm 9 seasons in and have managed to reach Skybet League One, and no matter what I do can't seem to improve my finances. Constantly stuck in the red, the occasional player sale bringing me short lived profit. I keep the wage budget as manageable as possible, and rarely pay any transfer fees, the main issue is being unable to afford to improve my stadium, or facilities to attract more income or sponsorship. Any tips for improving finances of this nature?
What an insane season we’ve just had. There have been incredibly high highs, as well as horribly low lows, but we’ve made it through a fifth season in the premier league! With a sixth on the way, it is now time for months of mind numbing transfer speculation, and that’s what I’m here to provide to you! As always, please let me know if you want me to include anything new, or if I miss anything. Yours u/shoecat
I’m going to do my best to stick to good sources, but call me out if I post something from a shifty place and I’ll take it down or find it from a better source

The Monaco loanee has completed his loan spell in Leicester, but after impressing, Rodgers is in to get him to sign, not without competition from the likes of United and Liverpool
After impressing on loan, the central defender is happy to stay for another season at Celtic, and Rodgers says that if the defender is to go on loan, Celtic would be the prefered destination
We are favourites to sign the Munich legend according to the bookies, but not currently in talks with the Holland man. What an insane world we live in.
United reportedly are in for Madders, and are claiming we set a £60 million price tag on him, but "the Foxes won't put price tags or valuations on players they are not looking to sell." Manchester City are also interested in the young midfielder, and are prepared to make a large bid on him
This is almost non-news but Maguire has clarified after liking a United fan's comment on instagram (that he would be a fan favourite,) that he didn't mean to like the comment
Leicester are set to sign the Arsenal U18 right back, I've seen a couple unofficial tweets that we have signed him but I'll make it official once the club does
The Sampdoria midfielder is not sold on a move to Leicester, saying that a bigger club that competes for trophies would better suit him. Leicester have had an €18 million bid rejected by the club, who value him at €25 million
I’ve decided to not do the Sky Bet odds because they’ve blocked out of country bets, and I am living in America and for the life of me can’t get past their block, so I can’t post these for the moment POSPAC is a legend and offering me weekly skybet updates on odds, so the table is back! All hail POSPAC
You know your team is struggling for a reason when:
They get mad at you for being too harsh in your teamtalk, after struggling to dominate against the team which haven’t won a single one of their first 5 games in Skybet League 1. Backstory: I noticed Bolton got relegated to Skybet league 1 in 2030, in my fm18 save game, so I thought: “it would be fun making another manager and use them to develop my Manchester United youngsters while I’m in control of how much they play” The squad seemed decent at first look and they were predicted to finish on a 1st place, so It seemed like a walk in the park with a few Promising players on the way with my help. It started out great with a 4-0 win in the first game and a 1-0 win against Stoke in the capital one cup (middle team in the Prem, 2030). After 5 games without any trouble it started going the wrong way, I was playing against Luton, 18th place, and lost 3-1 because I decided to rest some of my better players (I got James Ward-Prowse & Harry Winks on free transfers). I then went all in against Bradford in the next game, 22. in the league. They got in front after 1 minute and I was about to go mad already. I told the lads to concentrate and 7 minutes later it was 1-1. The rest of the first half was boring and I tried motivating my players for the 2. Half. 10 minutes in and it is 2-1 to us and we start dominating. Alright, we are back in form now; but bloody no! They score to 2-2 and the clock starts ticking away without any chances being created. In the 84th minute a highlight comes up, the ball gets fumbled back to the opponents goalkeeper from their defender, my striker snatches it and scores! I’m delighted, but it shouldn’t have been such a struggle. I therefore choose to say: “it was a bit of a disappointment, we should do better against a stronger side next time” Every player except James Ward-Prowse and Harry Winks reacts badly and after the game the squad decides they want to have a chat with me because they think I was too hard.
Common lads! You got relegated last season and you don’t deserve to be here.
Half of the squad wanted to make a move away from the club in pre-season because they didn’t deserve to play on such a low lvl. (or so they thought!) and still they act like entitled cry babies because I tell them they are shit. Well.... I’m glad I can make some transfers in January with such a lack of mentality and I can surely understand how everything went so bad lol.
Mourinho loves to complete deals quickly and announces "we are done." when his business is completed. I'm not expecting quick deals etc. but I hope we get an insight into our transfer intent quickly.
So a little more about myself before I start so you can understand where my opinions are coming from. I am from Spain and I follow the Spanish football media closely. I am up to date with in my opinion the best sports newspapers in my country. These picks however concern the 'January Transfer Windows Specials' section offered by Skybet and various other bookies. The premise is to predict whether a certain player will leave/stay at their club during this January transfer window, specifically Skybet state 'to Sign before February 3rd 2019.' So on to the picks. I have them listed in order of confidence with their corresponding odds. I am however sure that all 3 events will 100% happen.
Karim Benzema to stay at Real Madrid @1.40
Real Madrid are looking in the worse shape they've been in the last 10+ years. Their struggles with management and their tough loss of Cristiano Ronaldo during the summer transfer season have left the team crippled. But long term forward and reciently promoted to 3rd captain Karim Benzema is a name that appears on the sheets every weekend. His play sometimes may be questionable, but during these tough times Madrid will need all hands on deck. Combined with their lack of strong goal scorers and the commitment the French-Algerian shows to the team every weekend, I can almost guarantee he's not going anywhere this winter.
Frenkie De Jong to stay at Ajax @ 1.50
For someone who follows the Spanish media you might think this pick is a bit outlandish for me, however let me explain. For the past yeayear and a half Barcelona have been extremely keen on signing the young Dutch Star, however as of very reciently, it has become known that Barcelona are very close to a deal with French side FC Toulouse for 19 year old defender Jean-Clair Todibo. They would be able to get this player on a free, which compared to the 80+ million Ajax are asking for Frenkie, seems like the clear better option.
Alvaro Morata to join Sevilla @2.25
This is certainly the most risky pick but definitely the most profitable. The main clause to this is that loan deals DO count. In Spain everyone considers it a done deal that Alvaro Morata will return to Spain and join Sevilla on a loan-to-buy deal until the end of the season after which they could pay between 40-50 million euros. Media has gone as far as saying that Sevilla have agreed to cover Alvaro Morata's wages until the end of the season, around 4.5 million euros, 250k a week. EDIT: Odds for Morata to join Atletico Madrid have dropped from 5.50/1 to 2/1 overnight. In a reply to one of the comments I explain my reasoning as to why I see this could be a very possible transfer. Thank you for reading my humble opinions and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Edited some formatting and added a section about Morata to join Atletico.
Hello all, as the season winds down, we are again being berated by transfer rumours from every corner of the earth. I’m here again to hopefully help organize the chaos that is silly season, so here is the 2018 edition of shoecat ‘s Summer Transfer and Rumour Megathread! Staff Changes
Michael Appleton has left, Jacques Bonnevay replaces his as assistant manager. Pascal Planque, Mike Stowell, and new first team coach Adam Sadler make up the senior coaching team. More Information
Leicester set to race for the man dubbed the “Iranian Messi”, as clickbaity as that sounds, he could be an interesting signing as he has 23 goals in 31 caps for Iran and at 23 years old, he has plenty of time to develop his skills as well.
Imagine the chants for this one. Former Basel assistant coach has confirmed that Leicester are interested in the Norwegian international winger, which is a position with a lot of competition at the moment.
Leicester are reportedly in for the Nice striker, who was signed by Claude Puel during his time there. The striker seems to be ready for a move as well
Leicester are struggling to find a buyer for the Algerian striker, Sporting are showing interest in a loan deal, and Marseilles are also showing interest
The Brazilian winger is turning heads at Bordeaux, and Leicester have joined the race to sign the 21 year old, but Roma have submitted a 31.3 million offer for him
I thought it might be interesting to keep tabs on Leicester's odds on signing players, so below I'm including a table to show the Skybet transfer specials that we are a part of. Last Update: 8/8/18
I've hit the character limit here, this will now serve as a place for official actions by the club and an archive for the old rumours. You can check out the new rumour thread here.
Hey all, it’s that magical time of year again, and Shakespeare is on the hunt for some new foxes. I am making this thread to try to keep up with all the transfers and rumours, as well as give everyone a place to discuss transfer related topics. I’m going to be borrowing unabashedly plagiarizing from last year’s model a lot (a quick thank you to lgfualol and company). Also, as the lcfc beta website was just put up, there isn’t much news about anything as I’m writing this. At the moment I have a lot of free time at work as well as at home so hopefully I can keep up but I will also appreciate any help you provide staying up to date with the speculation and whatnot. So, firstly and very importantly, Craig Shakespeare was appointed manager on a 3-year deal on 15 June. Michael Appleton has been named the club's assistant coach.
I’m going to do my best to stick to good sources, but call me out if I post something from a shifty place and I’ll take it down or find it from a better source

Skybet dropped our odds of signing him from 18/1 to 5/1
West Brom's Gareth McAuley has said that Evans won't be leaving, as he is too important to the club. EDIT: The Mercury believe Leicester will make an improved £15 million bid for Evans.
West Brom have reportedly slapped a £20 million price tag on him and rumours are circling that he has been offered a new £100,000 per week contract to convince him to stay
Manchester City are demanding a buyback clause if we do sign Nacho from them. Edit: The striker has apparently followed Fuchs, Musa and Ndidi on twitter
Leicester seem interested in joining the race late for the 22 year old Chelsea and Netherlands centre back, but Bournemouth are already confident they can sign him this window
This is only somewhat relevant, but SPORT are reporting that if Verratti stays at PSG, then Barcelona will aim their focus at one of either Riyad of United's Herrera
According to Squawka, Leicester are prepared to make a £20 million offer for the young Nigerian. Odds on his transfer to Leicester have been cut dramatically
The Mercury are reporting that Leicester have had an enormous £40 million bid rejected in hopes of winning the fight over the Iceland international, they want £50 million for him
Just when you thought you'd heard the end of it, Spurs are now trying to hijack Iheanacho in an attempt to speed up a deal for Kyle Walker, but despite this a couple betting sites have suspended bets on the Nigeria striker's move
The French midfielder's agent blasts Leicester for a "lack of respect" concerning his move to France, with a host of clubs willing to take him on loan, but Leicester holding out for a sale
What a ridiculously drawn out piece of business. On the bright side, a couple days ago Pep said it was to be completed soon, and now today Vice-Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has said the deal is coming soon
Speaking of drawn out business, Mahrez is still in Leicester blue, but Roma are ready to launch a £30 million bid plus add ons for the winger, I'm hoping that these add ons are significant because 30 seems a little short for me
Leicester again show interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder and Jornal de Noticias claim that Leicester are set to bid €22 million to try to gain his services. Link
George Thomas
After a £300,000 bid was rejected by Coventry, Leicester are preparing a £500,000 bid for the striker
Roma have stepped up their bid to about 30 million, but Leicester won't budge for less than 50 million. Also, Liverpool have reportedly been keeping tabs on the winger (I don't believe this one so much)
French reports are saying that Leicester have signed the young PSG striker, but there is nothing to back it up on the club website. My best guess is this is set to happen, possibly in the next couple days
Hey all, u/shoecat again with this winter’s transfer megathread. Same deal as the summer thread, still copying the same format (thanks to lgfualol and company).

Riyad Mahrez
We will just have to wait and see if Puel was able to “seduce” Mahrez or not, but Arsenal seem to be, as ever, readying an improved bid on the winger.
The out of favor Stoke right back has been linked with us as possible back up for Danny Simpson. What does this mean for Almeida? I guess we will wait and see.
Watford are "confident" in being able to beat Newcastle in the race for the Algerian striker. Turkish side Besitkas also are interested in the striker.
I feel like I might as well not post this, but an unnamed source claims that an unnamed club have made a concrete offer for the Nigerian, but he is believed to be happy and not expected to move.
Turkish side Buraspor are reportedly interested in the Nigerian striker, and I'm sure he would be interested in finding some minutes before the World Cup.
The non league youngster is turning heads with the likes of Leicester and Villa watching. He is a midfielder who breaks up play and launches attacks from deep.
The Malian forward/wingeattacking midfielder has all but been confirmed. French media report around 2 million euroson a 4 and a half year deal for the 22 year old.
Sorry I've haven't been as on top of this as I was in the summer. Thank you to everyone posting things in the comments, you are the real MVPs! I'll try to be more active with this for the rest of the window.

Doubtful. City have yet to place a bid but there are reports of a potential 60 million bid coming. Leicester have reportedly told City that it would take something "mind blowing" to sign everyone's favourite Algerian.

"That you made in January, that you make now, that will probably be the record of the Premier League this season, I don't see another team getting close to that level of investment, a team that was a finalist in the Champions League, you have to say you are a big candidate.
